... where we were booked in for our first night. We had asked for a drive
through site and it even had a view of the Bellenger river mouth and the one
kilometre long boardwalk out to the beach! The weather had cleared nicely,
after a cold and drizzly start when we left Asquith at 7am so we had a great
walk along with lots of other “grey nomads”- the caravan park is full of them
and we suspect this will be the case for most of our holiday…
Up early to throw swimmers, surfboards & suitcases into the ute for our trip up the coast to Alexandra Heads. Amazingly both cars were packed up & we were on the road by 8.30am. What wasn't so great was the sky above; thick grey clouds & rain. Just hoping that our destination on the Sunshine Coast lives up to it's name... Or our money back?!!
