... grass of the middle of the road. We had already passed him, but Jonathan saw it in the rear view mirror and then it appeared that he was going to get back on the road! Scary - we thought he might be drunk or something, so called the police in case he did decide to get back in the road and cause an accident. Traffic was backed up further in our journey due to a truck that had caught fire. I found a picture of it in the news. We arrived at Daytona and can only describe it ...

After a final walk around Key West to some of the famous tourist spots - Hemingway's house, end of Hwy A1A, and a picture at the Southern Most point in the continental US (just 90 miles to Cuba), we hit the road north. A stop at Biscayne Bay NP was a nice stop, and again we seemed to have the park to ourselves. Most of this park is also underwater, but we saw a few videos at the visitors center, and walked along a few of the boardwalks. We saw a ...

... of this NP is underwater, it is well worth the visit. The history of the fort, the role it played in US history going back to the civil war, and the shear size and unbelievable construction of this building out in the middle of the ocean, made the visit very memorable. On the road early with bikes loaded on the car, we headed north to Palm Coast and geocached along a really nice, semi-shady bike trail. We managed to find 8 geocaches along the trail before the rains started. It felt good to be back on our bikes again.

Our quest for Friday night live music, was satisfied along with our appetite at JT's Seafood Shack in Palm Coast where we enjoyed a good rock band, Those Guys.

... in many of the states we have visited. Texas is another sad example. It will be interesting to see how spring is faring as we return to the Lone Star State enroute home.

We continue to see lots of birds near our campsite. I did get a couple of shots of UFO 3 today. As usual, due to my desire to save myself some work, the photos will be on Flickr.

We're off again tomorrow for a three day stint in Welaka. See you there...
