... to not bribe the police as one may in Mexico. This would result in great offence and hence a great offence. It is a pity that humans haven’t harnessed the bird as they have they beast, because 60% of Spain’s racing pigeons call Gran Canaria home, many of the enthusiastic fanciers use the island for international conventions. If they could fly me around after sampling the home-grown rum, I’d have my citizenship application filled out pronto.

... stayed in with no blinking lights. I took a nice nap and then we packed up our big suit cases. The bikes, vans and big suit cases will all travel tonight on a ferry over to Tennerife.
