... you cross your legs (like you do on all water slides) and then, the ride itself, oh my god, it's so freaky, vertically drops, and you drop for about 1.5 seconds until you reach the shark tank. Oh, and by the way, the ride is the equivalent of jumping off a 9 story tall building into a tank full of sharks, the only difference, is that on the Leap of Faith, you're surrounded by water.

... far different from the polished downtown area of the newer Dubai. We cruise the crazy gold shops offering more jewellery then you could ever imagine, including gold chain mail vests and t-shirts and some gold necklaces that i do not even think the queen of Dubai would be caught wearing -although Kim swears Beyonce owns and rocks one. We explore the area for a bit but leave empty handed and return to the bus to head back to the hotel.

... so men cannot see in. The women coming and going are respectable women, mothers, daughters and friends . For a very Muslim city there is a wide diversity of behaviours and dress. Mohammed told me that it was a very open city. I think he is right. There are women completely covered and some in miniskirts. Sometimes a driver picks them up and some drive themselves. Wednesday was supposed to be a relaxing day before the start of our trip. Time to paint my nails, do something with my hair , finish packing etc. However that wasn't to be the case.
