... theatre and garden you can think of! Del Mar and La Jolla are 2 great beach towns north of Coronado where we spotted whales and where sea lions just baked on the sand right next to sunbathers. We then took off for the weekend to see the mountains and desert behind San Diego. Anza-Borrego State Park, is a completely different desert scenery to what we were expecting, the awesome drive through the rock filled mountains, the cool Cacti and ...

All in all, we've had a busy few days in San Diego! Unfortunately we haven't had a chance to explore too much while being here but we've still had fun!

Have packed up and are set for an early departure tomorrow, we're picking up our car and taking a two day drive up the coast to San Francisco.

Will check back in when we have arrived!

Peace out!

p.s - will post pics in a couple of days once I have loaded onto the computer

So we got in the excellent fully automated Vancouver train service to go and collect the van and all was good with the world – until it wasn’t: half way there, the phone rang. It was the guy from the warehouse telling us that we had to have a tow truck to get the van out of said warehouse. No explanation, but the imagination went into overdrive and the outlook started to seem pretty bleak, despite the comprehensive marine insurance we had bought...
