... in the Navy on Nov 15, 1967 and attended Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL as part of class 59 shortly thereafter.
Despite the personal recognition, Horrell shied away from discussing his own accomplishments, instead focusing on the impact of Vietnam era SEALs, as a whole, on the Naval Special Warfare community. “This ceremony isn’t about me, this is really about all the SEALs who were in Vietnam,” ...

... of the Del's gift shops, "You only live once. If you do it right, that's all you need." (Quote from Mae West.)

Also, the Del has a resident ghost named Kate Morgan. Kate checked into the Del in 1892 and never checked out. She was to have a rendezvous with a young man there. When he didn't show, she committed suicide. Bit of a drama queen. So Kate is now seen occasionally by guests. Fortunately, Kate didn't visit us in the new wing. Josie has ...

... down along the beach so we felt liked we'd earned it! There were some amazing views of the ocean and the San Diego area, and walking along the beach in the sun I managed to get some pretty good short and t-shirt tan lines. My host's housemates and I (she was too busy) spent the rest of the evening in a nearly empty cocktail bar called El Dorado drinking Moscow Mules and stealing glasses. @Joseph Marshall, we also had the "your accent is kinda sexy" chat a la Love Actually. It didn't go further than that, but I did technically go home with two of the girls so the Colin ...

6 - total score of the Padres/Giants game
We loved walking around Petco Park in the perfect baseball weather off the bay. The stadium is built beautifully. The walls were a gorgeous stone (sandstone perhaps?). The one downside to such a beautiful park is that you can't walk around the park and still watch the game. There was no way to watch the game and walk on any level, as we do at other stadiums. Still a nice stadium.
