New Orleans slums to Rodeo Drive
... Santa Monica pier as the sun was setting, that was really pretty. We are going back to Santa Monica on the last day of our current tour. Got back to our hotel room about 7 pm...a quick change and off down the street for tea for the nicest rib platter we have had since been in this amazing country. As you can see we have really embraced the American diet and if we keep eating like them we will end up looking like them ....lol...although they are much slimmer here on the west coast. ...
Day Seven - LA (Hollywood)
... how to use the chopsticks, as there was no other cutlery, and we were quite impressed with out efforts, I even managed to eat rice with them ! Thoroughly enjoyed the food, unfortunately we couldn't eat it all so we decided to box up the left overs and give it to a homeless person on the way home. Back at the hotel we were determined not to go to bed straight after all that food, so we headed to the bar. Turns out it was a Cocktail bar so only felt right to order a cocktail ...
G'day LA! Where there are more stars than stripes!
... goat skills to drive through the leafy streets checking out the mansions where every rich man, woman and child abodes in LA. These houses were massive, ritzy and well maintained - strata must be a buck or two in these parts. We did see the homes of Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Tim McGraw/Faith Hill and the Beckhams. We also did a drive along the infamous Mulholland Drive.

Santa Monica und Venice Beach
... man sich als Zuschauer geschickt hinstellt, kann man bei unwichtigen Produktionen sogar als Statist mitwirken. :) Das ist hier scheinbar alltäglich.
Kurz vor Sonnenuntergang war uns dann so kalt, dass wir uns in einer Creperie aufwärmen mussten. Die gefühlte Temperatur bei Wind lag bei etwa 10° Grad nachdem die Sonne weg war. Für T-Shirt und Flipflop ist das langsam die Schmerzgrenze.
