Friends are awesome! Well, at least my friends are... After a hard night of golfing at Top Golf, we slept in at Tacy's place. Nothing like a comfortable bed, with no check-out time to create laziness in two dudes. About 11:00 am, I decided that we should attempt to make a day of it and head out for an adventure. ... seven national parks: Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Olympic, Crater Lake, and Death Valley, and traveling to a bunch of cities from Vegas to all the way up California to Washington state, so we're HOPEFULLY going to use this blog to post our honeymoon adventures and share photos and stories and inside jokes.
So... the point is... stay tuned, there eventually will be more to come, it just won't be for awhile :)
... WE are amazed, that, for a 8 1/2 year old coach with 74,000 miles, it is completely, spotlessly perfect inside. Nothing seems to have been used or abused in any way. Even the felt in the window sills, which gather and hold dirt and dust horribly, look brand new! Hard to figure out how they put 74,000 miles on it without using anything but the driver's seat!
... It was a great choice. Both were delicious.
Next stop – Baton Rouge – to the home of the LSU Tigers. It was a little problematic finding the stadium. My GPS kept giving me directions to streets with cross arms and we couldn’t get through. Finally a guard told us how to find the stadium and even though it too was under construction the rain had let up and we were able to get a shot ...
... and colour coding for the level of congestion which is very accurate - pretty much every set of traffic lights has cameras set up providing this information which is impressive!
Elizabeth and I took the older 3 kids to CYC and then came home for dinner. Their eldest daughter, Alison, raises pigs for showing and at various times they get the pigs butchered. The reason for mentioning this is that we had one of their pigs for tea - well, part of it ...
