... walked around the front of it but got there just as they were closing it off so some reason. They stopped all cars entering/exiting that location too. ... is very old and beautiful.

Our first stop was the White House. Barack must have forgotten our invitation for morning tea as he wasn't there to greet us. We took all the normal photos and it was interesting to see the vegetable garden and bee hives from the street. We could also see that all the trees were wired with alarms at the top. It was amazing to see a building that you see so often in the news.

... said he'd checked his phone and the game would be delayed about 2 hours. If I'd had another day in DC I might've considered staying; however, as I'm flying back to Chicago tomorrow I decided to make my way back to the hotel. So I made a dash for it, jumped in a taxi and headed back to the hotel. As soon as I hung up my soaking clothes and I'm hoping they'll dry before I leaving tomorrow.

Oh it turns out the rain delay was about an hour and 20 minutes and the Nationals won 4-2.
