... in Cairns and beyond. The weather is great and the scenery is beautiful. I can see why it's so popular.

Lately, I haven't had internet or power to run the computer, so I've gotten behind with the blogs again. Will try to do another in the next day or so. We are really enjoying Tropic North Queensland and it's coast!

FANCY A FACT - Did you know dairy farmers can milk up to 250 cows twice a day, with each cow producing 20-25 litres of milk a day (We definitely need to invest in getting one just for Joe) A few days later, after the cattle catastrophe, Joe and I decided to go on a little trip to Kuranda which is the village in the rainforest. This morning we went to church at the Cairns Cathedral. An amazing church with the most incredible stained glass windows ever seen. There were 26 of them and each was in a sequential order to show and tell the Creation story. Magnificent!

We spent the rest of the day swimming and exploring Cairns. Its a tourist mecca and if you've got the cash there is no limit to what ...

... are slow but tasty, the beach area is off limits. I guess that means my toes will not be an appetizer.

So we walked down the park looking at the pale white bodies trying to be become tanned and beautiful. We read about the WWI memorial with the clock set at the time of the landing at Galipoli. We saw a 25 pound Howitzer from WWII. The Esplanade has several areas with museum quality signs discussing the history of Cairns.
