One had long grey hair shaking a tambourine, another bald guy in pink shorts dancing completely out of time. They were hilarious and stayed the entire time. Welcome to Australia! Cairns is a bustling city and set along the Coral Sea with mountain ranges in close vicinity. We arrived to 84 degrees and the feel of the tropics. Incredibly luscious weather with sunshine. Lucky us missed the windy, rainy cyclone weather of the previous week. Our first excursion was to the Coral Reef for snorkeling or diving. ... and he would charge people to boat and swim around the lake . There were some turtles in the water and we fed those - the staff encourage you to throw the food on the bank so they come out of the water for exercise , I reckon we would fit in over here everything is lazy !! . ... the sushi significantly harder, but not impossible. Most of mine were quite good, although the end rolls were always a little squidgy. Becky had her carbonara whilst we watched the end of The Departed (pretty good film, Jack Nicholson is particularly excellent), and ate sushi. After the film we made cookies and retired to the bedroom where we stuck on Letters to Juliet, a significantly lighter hearted film. Now it's late, and we're up early tomorrow, so I'm off to ...
