... and finally belly dancing, here performed with singular grace and not a hint of impropriety.

If all this sounds a bit artificial and tacky well, so in a way, it is. However, like most things in Dubai it is superbly organised and great fun. It is also excellent value the cost of the whole adventure being hardly more than an average meal out in any Dubai restaurant - and your dinner is included. Definitely something worth doing in Dubai.

... delivery vehicles competing for the same space. We did get to see the various iconic buildings and structures, we even managed one of the two boat trips included on our ticket, but as far as fitting in visits to any of the museums, malls and aquariums - well we might manage some tomorrow. We were lucky to get offered two tickets for less than the price of one for the bus. It is a great way to get round the city. We were on the bus for almost 2 hours and got as far as the Burj Al Arab but as we were booked into the Burj Kalifa for afternoon tea didn't have time to go on to look at The Palm.

The Atmosphere restaurant is on the 122 floor. The lift whisks you up to the 123rd floor very quickly and you have to walk down a flight of stairs to ...

... know it. Looks more like a river. You have to walk down past the local shops and stalls - which is a bit like running the gauntlet as they are wrapping scarves round your neck to try on as you walk past. We had a dip in the pool this afternoon which was nice - as it wasn't roasting sitting on the sunbeds afterwards. Have to say that all the people we have met so far are extremely polite and very ...

... I was "chewing her ear off" haha dear oh dear ! Anyways, Dubai airport is UNREAL! For a start it is humongous, and secondly I felt like I was catnis Everdeen entering the Capitol in The Hunger Games! Everything was huge, with massive waterfall type things and stuff, it was beautiful! We were only there for an hour though so didn't have much time to explore. However, we were starving but had no money in ...
