    ... smooth you dont notice it until your ears pop. It was cool to go up there and you get a great impression of the 'city in the desert' but I have to say the worlds tallest buillding is wasted in Dubai. The air is so hazy you can hardly see anything at all. They have screens set up so you can see what you should be able to see if the air was clear! You can also change it to a nighttime view or historical (pre-skyscraper) view.

    We left Adelaide on an Emirate's Flight at 10 pm for Dubai. They fed us at about 12 midnight local time, and then we got some sleep. Arrived at Dubai after 13 hours airborne. Cattle class air travel is quick but not so beautiful. Still, didn't feel too bad.

    ... air conditioned and if the temperature reaches over 51 degrees the people who work outside stop work. Next was the Dubai Museum, which is located in the 210 year old Al Fahidi Fort, where you saw artifacts from Dubai's pearl fishing days and how things have changed over the years. At least it was nice and cool in there. Then we went to the historic Al Bastakiya district were we boarded a water taxi which took us across the creek to Deira. Her we went ...

    ... of Africa about it. It was even advertised as Argentinian.

    One of their specialties is that for birthdays the staff all come out playing drums and sing happy birthday in Afrikaans which was a novel twist and quite good. The little girl from another table who had just had it sung to her and obviously thought the second one was for her as well. She was quite happy dancing away and then blew out the candles on the cake when it arrived.

    ... of the fountains which are played every 30 mins for 3.5mins . mark has not felt well all day so we decided to cancel the meal and see how he felt later on .after a few hours rest we decided to go just to look at the fountains . When we got there at 8pm there must have been around 30,000 people around the lake it was crazy ! We watched 2 sets and went back to grand drive to see what cars where in . This is the part the dads will like - there were 2 x la Ferrari outside the mall ...
