      ... so big there are at least 6 car parks, including multi storied ones. The mall is on piles over a estuary like water area (brown of course) While there we found some more new rags and had a great coffee/cold chocolate. Kombi count now 8. The only Vet we saw was a sign above a animal hospital!! Weather looks like more thunder storms, finally clearing by Saturday. Sunrise tomorrow 4.48 am, no day light saving here.??? Ps still laughing re jet boats!! ...

      ... Our first job was to negotiate our way out of the city and onto the Bruce Highway heading north. Like most cities it's a bit scary at first but with one very small detour (stupid Bruce, the sat nav) we found our way.       Arriving a few days early we set up and enjoyed this lovely town of Goomeri. The days were very warm and clear skies. There we a couple of Highway members here, we all sat round and chewed the fat for a couple of days before the rest turned up.

      Pete was given the task of siting all the units while Mother Hen was in charge of the cash (as always!!!! Can't help herself can she?

      Once again we filled the space allocated with some 24 motorhomes.

      ... the beer fridge (we picked up a really nice Aussie pilsner called 'steam train' on offer). Joff made us a classic 'Aussie Burger' for dinner consisting of a big beef pattie, bacon, cheese, fried egg, beetroot, salad and tomato in a big crusty bap with sweet potato wedges! Jeez it was an absolute monster! It went down a treat with a bottle of beer! We chilled out in the lounge for the evening (unable to move after our dinner). ...

      ... started with Clinton picking us up for golf but this time we grabbed destinee (lovely taps staff member) too. The four of us had a cracking round of golf in the blistering heat and then met jarid and ruby (more friends from work) and drove up into the hinterland. We had taken a cool box of picnic stuff and were headed to the kondalilla waterfalls. We enjoyed our picnic in the park before taking the short stroll down the steps to the waterfall.
