Day 15 25th December Christmas Day. Got up made breakfast, salmon and scrambled eggs on muffins (we may be backpacking but our standards haven't slipped) then headed down to the beach for photos and a swim, the surf was rough mind, great for the surfers but not for swimming, it knocked you around a bit. ... can only communicate through howls. Koala-rama - they need up to 18-20hours sleep a day. There are 1200 typed of eucalyptus but koalas are a little fussy and only like around 15 types of eucalyptus. ... to the camper we decided it was time to head off, feeling not as let down by Noosa as we originally were, it had somewhat won us over, but unfortunately for it, it had stiff competition coming after Byron bay!! Oh and with reference to the roundabouts, another thing which drove us mad about Noosa, every 2kms there was a roundabout, for at least 30kms!!
