... At first the whales were quite a long way off but after moving the boat a few times we managed to get really close to some and got some terrific views. By the time it was time to head home the sun had come out, and the sea had calmed down, so the ride home was quite pleasant.

Yesterday i travelled down to Currumbin with a group of school students to visit the infamous Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. We arrived at 9:00am and after a role call, we entered the education session about some of the animals they have in the sanctuary. ... I'm anticipating a lot of back and forth, round and round, kind of pointless conversation with a lot of bickering thrown in for good measure. I'm trying my best though to remain positive as I chant 'PMA... PMA... PMA...' over and over in my head like some kind of mental meditation.

To get a passport I had to visit one of the designated Australia Post offices to book an appointment in advance for a passport interview.
