Appearance above safety (Paris) - I saw many people riding around on their vespas, helmets with regular cloths. Paris is a very stylish city, where apparently it is more important to accessorise ones skin, than keep it. I also noticed several people smoking on their bikes...I don't even know where to start Random dudes (Paris) - I keep getting chatted up by random dudes who can't speak english. First the taxi driver, ...

We exchanged some money for Euros. Damn we get a **** exchange rate! Guess the dollar isn't so strong against the Euro!

We waited outside for the shuttle to the Crowne Plaza - Schiphol. Got to the hotel and checked in about 3:00. This is the same place we stayed two years ...

... dining & people watching. Such an easy city to wander around, although you can't rubberneck when crossing any street. The pedal bike traffic here is intense & they rule the road. You can get flattened in a split second. I'm a bit tired from 6 weeks of travel, teaching, Easy Jet (nothing easy about it) & slow trains through Eastern Europe, so Amsterdam is great place to spend my last few days abroad. The weather is spectacular. Seems much ...
