205 Browns Road, Boneo 3939 Rosebud, Victoria, Australia, 3939
Friday 16th January 2009. Our next adventure commenced with a very early start, all four of us driving away from Manly at 5am bound for Melbourne. We set the Sat-Nav for Rosebud and she said the journey should take eleven hours - Gulp! We shared the driving with breakfast, lunch and tea stops along the Hume Highway arriving at Nepean Country Club in Boneo at 5:45pm. The apartment we were given was not nice but they promised us a better one tomorrow. We just ate the meal we brought with us, wa...
Rosebud, Victoria, Australia jackandjillThursday 22nd January and everyone had great problems with their backs - couldn't get them off the bed! We slowly breakfasted, some swam in the resort pool, others just sunbathed and eventually got on our way to Phillip Island before 1pm. It was a long boring 2-hour drive there while the weather got progressively cooler. We arrived at Churchill Island in time to purchase the Three Parks Pass and have a sandwich in the cafeteria. A quick gallop round the Heritage Farm marked the first park pas...
Rosebud, Victoria, Australia jackandjillFederation Square is in Melbourne City Center. It's a good meeting point and there's always something going on there. The weekend before the Australian Moto GP, they had an event which involved interviews with various riders including the current Aussie star Casey Stoner. He signed two three day pass tickets to the event and the Compare asked who in the crowd wanted them. Grechy ...

Phillip Island, Australia cb_goes_again... as soon as I check in my room I guess. The journey from Lorne to the airport was quite good really, considering the Australians are not the best at signage - or continued signage should I say. Anyhow, I'll update you from Dubai. Farewell to Oz Ronnie
Melbourne, Australia ronnied... and last night at Base ($32 for a HOSTEL BED!) plus $6 for breakfast if you wanted to eat it there. I checked out the Greenhouse hostel on Little FLinders St downtown and that's where Beverley Manning (who I met at G'Day Hostel in Sydney) was going to stay in a couple of days time. It was a good hostel but 5 beds in a little dorm was a wee cramped, but huge kitchen, common areas, free breakfast (cereal, toast, coffee) etc. and lots of hostel-arranged ...
Melbourne, Australia lecklund... Internet dealey really works. Odds on it does, but it won't let me delete this lil ramble, so my test message will be immortalised for ever more in the annals of time. So just in case, I'll stop now ;) Keeping you posted. Eb PS. The map thinks I'm in Canberra. I'm in Melbourne. I'm itching to see where it thinks I'm in next! ;)
Melbourne, Australia elsewhereSince Sarah is now a famous editor of a Golfing magazine, she can help arrange special reates (ie FREE) for Green Fees at some of the best Golf courses in Australia. On Friday morning Michael, Andy and Marcin headed out to Eagle Ridge for a round of golf. The day was ...
Rosebud, Australia mrewkowskiWoke up this morning, and we decided to go for a walk to the top of Mt Difficult. We only took a small pack with bit of food and drink, aswell as a map. We passed a few groups of bushwalkers trekking there way through the national park. When we got to the base of the last little walk to the top, we got looked at a bit weird by a couple of 'hard core' bushwalkers kitted out in the best bushwalking has to offer - as oppose to me and lucien who were in ...
