... had lunch before the long journey ahead. It was the most tiring thing ever. After getting stuck in the reeds our motivation was lacking and canoeing was soon losing its initial fun. Finally tired and achy we arrive back at camp learning we did a trip of 13km! No wonder we were knackered. That day absolutely destroyed is so it was an early night all round. Not before we transferred to tents and with the on/off rain this was going to be fun!

Granite Bay is also another good spot further on.

Lots of great restaurants to choose from. Pick of the bunch for me was Locale. Rather than sit in the restaurant take a seat at the bar and eat the Italian tapas menu... Awesome. Friendly staff and great service.
Bistro C and Sails had great meals and great locations. Try to get a table on the balcony if you can.

It was a strange thought to return to 'hostel-life' after a hostel-free week and for some reason it made me a bit nervous. When I entered the shuttle, however, I was imediatly greeted by a nice British girl who ...

... minor problems. The new table is brilliant and the speaker under the cupboards over our beds is a huge change. Really effective sound. We camped at Eumundi in the markets car park. They have just finished new amenities with lovely loos and a female and a male shower with hot water. We stayed Tuesday night and the markets were on Wednesday. Amazing markets....voted best in Australia. We spent some money! Got a lovely canvas print by Michelle Pike. ...

... cold. Every now and then a blue blubber jellyfish floated elegantly past so we quickly swam the opposite direction. Many of the jellyfish had been dissected in to a million pieces meaning we had to carefully avoid stepping on their body parts as we walked back to our towels. I googled them to find out that they were not deadly, but would cause a nasty irritation if they stung you. We cooked lunch back at the hostel to save money before donning our trainers ...
