Today was an early start for the boys as we were heading to Po Bay Pier in the north-east corner of the island, the gateway to Phang Nga Bay. This area is always well sheltered from any monsoon storms that may be occuring around other parts of Phuket so always makes for relatviely smooth sailing.
Thailand isn't really well known for adventure tourism, and today is a good example of that as the day is ...

... 6/14/15: Woke up at around 0800 and laid in bed till 1100. It was pouring all morning and there wasn't much to do. We facetimed my mom and showed her some of the town but it was already late by her so we didn't get to show her the beach. We were bored so we decided to arrange a flight to Bangkok for the 17th. It costs $20 per person. Cheaper than bus or car & quicker. It took us all afternoon driving up and down the streets trying to figure out how to pay for ...

The first stop was at a local rubber plantation. This is where the rubber trees are located and the guide explained how rubber is extracted from the ...

A travel blog entry by voyager-sue on Mar 30, 2015

... day so we signed up. The tour was perfect for us. First, it left early, thus avoiding rush hour traffic on Phuket, and getting to the caves and lagoon before the other tour boats so we had the place to ourselves. They keep the tour size to 20 people, on a boat for 55, so there was plenty of space. They have a cook on board to prepare lunch, and it was the most delicious food since we got to Thailand. There were 6 dishes plus steamed rice. It's not easy to ...

... The second spot we went to was much calmer waters and i swam for longer. I saw so many colourful fish including nemo. It was such a great experience. We went to a small cove completely isolated and saw loads of crabs with seashells scuttling around the beach. I had never seen anything like this before. We had fresh pineapple too. The last snorkel spot was ok the fish were really close to the surface. We saw flying fish too. We went to an island where there was ...
