When we returned to Manhattan (Wall street, Financial District), we went directly to the Gran zero Memorial 9/11. It is open to the public so have a look because it is amazing.           ... the subway station which I thought was the wrong direction as my compass got a little messed up underground with all the twists and turns. Lucky for me, Bec will talk to any random, so she asked a local who said that we were in the right place.

          ... 53rd St to catch the 1 train downtown to 14th St. We headed along W 13th St towards Chelsea market, taking a photo of a mini Flatiron building somewhere along the way. Chelsea market was fairly quiet I think. J stopped for a coffee and I stopped at Liddabit Sweets to buy a very expensive chocolate bar but being handmade justified the cost!
