... IT Park, Pune in some of the known / unknown big / mid / small size IT companies. What I have seen Hinjewadi 7 years back where it used to be only Infosys as the only company standing tall surrounded by village has now been transformed into a big IT hub.

It it was extraordinarily useful to get in touch with those feelings and I decided that Pune had nothing more to offer. I may be completely wrong about the ashram; it attracts Indians and westerners alike but for me it looked far too cultish and needy with its easily identifiable gowns. ... but a little worse than Mexico. Finding wifi connections is not easy in budget hotels, at least a wifi that connects. The best bet is more western style cafes which are popular with westerners and middle class Indians alike. For some reason I could not connect with my iPad but managed to do so with my antiquated small Acer laptop which I brought along solely for writing. It's remarkable how lost I felt when I couldn't connect with the Internet ... what a crutch ...

... coach buses operate from Mumbai to Hospet via Pune, daily. Hospet is just 13-15 kms away from Hampi. All exited we booked for the travel to and fro.

So the next question was how to travel within Hampi? Many websites and blogs suggested hiring an auto/moped/bike/cycle etc. But we had also planned a day's travel to Badami caves, which were 120 kms away from Hospet.
