Discovered a place exactly what has been explained above with same set-up, like god has painted the same picture what was in mind. This place looks awesome during Monsoon with a feel of hill station. Have a look at some of the pictures I have uploaded.

I guess, bar a few exceptions, most travellers hit a low point. I hadn't expected it to be so soon after only a week but I did so in Pune.

I think I was coming to terms with some aspects of India and it's culture: the dirt and grime, human faeces on the rails, war zone appearance, scams and so on). The unconditional friendliness that I have experienced with hellos, and nods and smiles, photos taken of me with Indians has not been enough to reassure ...

... extra thought or some emotional processing - my barriers are still there whilst I clue in on the good the bad and the ugly. In fact I'm pretty chuffed with myself. I've had one or two moments where I have had to seriously own my power and have done it well and appropriately. ... coach buses operate from Mumbai to Hospet via Pune, daily. Hospet is just 13-15 kms away from Hampi. All exited we booked for the travel to and fro.

So the next question was how to travel within Hampi? Many websites and blogs suggested hiring an auto/moped/bike/cycle etc. But we had also planned a day's travel to Badami caves, which were 120 kms away from Hospet.
