    Friday 30th October

On the ship until 2.30 when we left by tender for the short service to Mykonos, one of Greece's most popular tourist islands. Fighting the mob to board the ship we snagged a great spot on the cool shaded section of the deck. The ride was quite comfortable, and the windows afforded us a brilliant view of the open sea.

I always enjoy being on the water. The vast emptiness that stretches out before you in all directions is ...

... could smell peoples herb patches and with Easter and large family gatherings, there were a lot of lambs on spits!

While we had the car we also drove the coastal road south which was also really beautiful. The roads are not in great condition and quite a few are not tar sealed. It definitely adds character to this place and although it may not be one of the most popular islands it definitely warrants a stop over.
