Day 9: Florence
... rest of the group and all went into Santa Maria Novella, which was unbelievable. A 13-century church built on a 10-century cemetery and site, it housed original paintings on which Michelangelo worked, and stained glass windows, frescos, sculptures and tombs from the 11-16 centuries. Day 19 - Train thru Italy...and Florence
... it was seriously shorter than it had been when we pulled into Genova....this started me thinking...if you recall, we were rushed getting on the train, and we THOUGHT we had found our correct coach, Coach 4, but we never confirmed it....so now, Deb starts thinking, what if Coach 4 was actually at the other end of the train and we had been on the wrong coach the whole time...and now the coach we should have been on was back at Genova and headed in a completely different direction??
