We ran into the Compton's from Lexington who happened to be here too. We enjoyed having dinner together with Ben, Suzanne, Charlie and Nancy. It was nice to have friends to enjoy a meal with again.

It will be wonderful to be back in South Carolina even though there will be lots of changes from ...

Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with benches..family style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.

... and things bigger than Ben Hur. And what do we notice, but there are hordes of people on the side of the road with deck chairs set up lining the streets. In parking lot after parking It are hordes upon hordes of classic cars. OK we get it, there must be a classic car show of sorts in town and given everyone is sitting in their chairs on each side of their main , there must be a parade. Nope! As we subsequently find, out, they are ...

        ... the hideous places
they can be today. And I am blessed to count them as friends.

Anyway, we had a meal with Heather and
her three kids. Kaitlin had sent a couple of letters back and forth
to one of the kids a few years back and so it was nice she could meet
her penpal. They clicked straight away and had a sleepover that night
        together.
