A motel breakfast like all the others - runny waffles, non-browning toast, solid butter, undefined milk and muffins. The fruit was good though and plentiful.

... there is a tremendous rush of water that starts to push up against their natural flow. The result is a fairly large wave that rushes up the river and it is often high enough for surfers to ride it. Apparently one Australian surfer purportedly rode the wave for 11 km up the river. ... climbed the 294 steps to the top. It was overcast and cool with drizzling rain at times but we could still see the city from the top.

We walked from the Monument to the USS Constitution which is a sailing vessel. It has sailed 5 times this year and will go out again in October before it is taken into dry dock for some time. Bright and and sunny all day with blue skies and big white, puffy clouds. My absolute favorite kind of day.
