April 10th- Up early and ready when the shuttle arrived at 7:30. No problems getting to the airport even though it was rush hour-the HOV lane is wonderful! A long line at security but it moved fast and no problems this time so on to wait. We had about an hour but that is fine. Finally on the plane and we are seated at the very back. The …

Feb 22-Monday- Up before the alarm, showered, dressed and all that, packed final items in luggage, had breakfast, unplugged a few things, turned off the water and heat and drove over to pick up Larry. The water in the park had receeded but the pond is still full. Larry was waiting and we took off. He has never been to the airport or even much …

Feb 16th-Wed- Up at 6 and scurried around doing all the last minute things and by 8:30 Don and Anita were driving us to the airport. We were early but the time went by quickly and then we were on the plane. A non stop flight to Kauai Hawaii. And 7 hours later we were de-planing into--overcast and 71 degrees - not what we had expected! The luggage …

... the pathway decided to play amateur umpire. The first time I whiffed at one, he made sure I knew about it by yelling out, "STRIKE 1!" No worries. I calmly tossed another one up intending to smack it, but again another whiff and another, "STRIKE 2" from the guy on the path. Was I really going to strike out in front of this clown after dropping so many bombs? No Chance! So I found a good piece of driftwood, calmly called my ...

... and black fish. Not sure what they are called but I've nicknamed then "bee fish," due to the colour. There was 4-5 feet waves breaking on the outer reef which added to the beauty of this place. The net fisherman was back again. The lifeguards shout at people walking on the reef by the never said a word to him. I never saw him cast the next, let alone catch anything. I stayed at the beach till around 11.30am and then came back for lunch ...

This is an older place and in need of many repairs but the price is right and we always have a good time. Rooms are small, think dorm room, with 2 twin beds, a hot plate, toaster and a coffee pot!

Really like this, and Phil has been coming here for 17 years now. People are friendly and rooms are clean, though small with 2 twin beds, a hot plate, a toaster and a coffee pot. The Bull Shed, attached is good eating too.
