... some of the original Old Town buildings house shops, mini museums and a market selling more local crafts (pottery, rugs, clothing and jewelry). At this point it was stinking hot again so we hopped on the Old Town Trolley Bus that does a two hour loop of San Diego. The loop took us through the San Diego Harbour and downtown areas before crossing the Coronado Bridge to Coronado Island. I expected to see more of a Spanish influence in the building ...

... so SO hard. After Erik and his parents returned, we decided to head to Pizza Port for dinner and drinks in nearby Solana Beach. The pizzas were both unique and delicious, as were the beers. It’s hard not to have three full meals, every day. Breakfast and lunches are extensive buffets. For dinner Greg and I always go into the dining room. We usually are seated at a big table so we have the opportunity to meet other people and be waited on. The menu ...

I'm going to combine yesterday's and today's events into the one post.

Yesterday we explored San Diego Zoo, it's pretty massive! One of the guys who runs the shuttle for the military families kindly offered to drop us off at the zoo that morning, as we drove in he gave us a little history lesson on the towns we were going through and on the zoo.

We arrived and went straight onto the 50 minute bus tour of the zoo, it takes you around to most exhibits for a view of ...
