... the festival there in April. On through desert landscape and we see a small diner at a crossroads, not quite what we were imagining but we're hungry, as we go in we get quite a surprise for 11am, an old guy sitting at a keyboard playing and singing. The young waitress greets us with 'welcome to Paradise' not sure I'd agree with the naming of the cafe (or maybe it's the name of the crossroads) but the wait for our ...

Jane has the good sense to dry off and miss the last ride whilst Phil and the kids travel back in wet clothes. We are back pretty late but not too late to head into town for a quick bite. Then it's back home for our usual round of pool, uno etc.

This is it...

... up. I feel like each person on this team, in the 18 miles from Denny's to the park, became the living, breathing, heart-pumping definition of excitement. Kim was the last to arrive. She showed up in the van with her trike and with Brendan. Clapping and hugging and cheering everywhere all the time. It's a gorgeous day and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. It's decided that Kim is going to lead the group in. Leash and I ride with her. The group wants to give us ...
