... I did the hardest bit. Very windy though and sleeping out was not that pleasant.

Finally it was a walk east around the coast to Elafonisi. It was meant to take 5-6 hours. Well 9 hours later, with a very swollen and sore ankle, I made it. Kyle's 30th birthday turned out to be an incredible day. We started off with the hotel bringing him a cake and singing to him during breakfast. Then we decided to take an adventure to the island's most famous beach. We drove for an hour and a half south through the mountains, much of it on the edge of a huge gorge. We awoke late this morning still a little tired after our late arrival last night. I was just able to sync yesterday's post. Our hotel is an old Venetian building that has been beautifully renovated.
