The day started with a walk along the beach, we stopped to speak to a lady who was chatting to a younger man. They were both British and were interested in our travels. We passed the tavernas of which a couple were open and at the end of the beach where the waves were reaching the top we cut through to the road. We headed back and then had coffee before setting out for Rethymno. We need to top up the Internet and we can only do that at ...

The river which runs into the sea here is still in flood, there is a ford over it to get to the end of the village, there is also some walks signposted but we are not going to risk crossing it.
We drove back out of the village for a couple of miles and found a place to park up, as we arrived so did a herd of goats, they stood looking ...

House keeping did some washing as there is somewhere undercover to hang it and with this wind it should dry. Next we took advantage of the free wifi and caught up with new year messages and the blog, we sat inside the cafe and chatted to the German man who has a camper parked here. He comes here with ...

It,a very wet and windy again this morning. We set off to drive across to the south coast. As we left the beach area the track had become very rutted with the rain water flooding down it, it made us wonder how the Austrians were going to get up it in their camper. As we climbed up into the mountains there were a lot rock falls across the road we picked our was around them and in another spot there was a large branch that had broken off a tree, we managed to squeeze past it. Further on ...

Another windy night and it's wet this morning. We spent some time sorting the photos to post on today's blog and then prepared to move on.
The rain had passed and the sun was shinning making it feel quite warm. We took Logan for a walk, first we walked to the right, across the lovely pink coloured sand, the tide was going out. We came to some black rocks enclosing small bays with black pebbly beaches. We looked into the rock pools but there doesn't seem to ...
