... Singaporean food here which was the closest we could get to Indian cuisine (by this time we were craving non Mexican spice). We spent the rest of the day driving around the Hollywood Hills and getting as close to the Hollywood Sign as possible. We were fortunate enough to get tickets to a VIP tour around Warner Brothers studio early on Sunday morning. The guide showed us around one of the largest working studios where you realise that the life of an actor ...

Now - the US are famed for their cocktails, but i'll be honest, most of them are grim! We had 4 weird and wonderful concoctions from the bar menu, paid $14 a pop - and then either one of us started grimacing after each mouthful - until the mojitos, which were amazing, but then it's difficult to screw up a mojito! Thank you to Michael Hopcroft and Emily and Brendan for our every tipples, very much appreciated and sent us off to bed in the right way!

Then, no hot water at all. We had to take showers at the neighbors house. At least it was an outdoor shower.. Hope we'll have some tomorrow!

Wow, can you believe that in 7 days, I will on yet another plane but this time, heading home. Those 12 months have flown by, but I'm not sad. I'm looking forward to coming home and seeing everyone!

There isn't really much to write about today as I was leaving the beautiful city of San Francisco and heading back down to, just as beautiful, San Diego to go back and stay with my cousin Sophie.
