    ... waves were great. We walked along had Boardwalk and the pier. Every time a wave came through the pier moved with it. The boardwalk was great, you really get the sense of relaxation. People chilling out with a beer in the little pubs that fringe the walk, others on rollerblades, or skateboards zip pass you, while others are just out for a relaxing walk watching the ocean and others having fun on the beach.     For those of you who are familiar with San Diego, you know it is nothing like Los Angeles. While they share similar climates and much of the western coastline, the people themselves are worlds apart. The spirit of San Diego's people is best embodied by the late and great Tony Gwynn, a star Padre who despite numerous offers from leading baseball clubs decided to remain loyal to his hometown.
