Back in Cagayan de Oro - day 1

A travel blog entry by nath_and_rach on Feb 24, 2014

Awaking at 8.00 this morning allowed a leisurely morning to commence. We enjoying a relaxed morning together at the supermarket before the fun begins in the afternoon. Nathan took Rach out for a pizza date followed by a weekly food shop, very romantic! We caught the shuttle bus to the supermarket easily. However our return trip was quite an experience, one that Has never been tried! We caught a plain white shuttle bus that pulled up at the terminal, praying ...

Leaving the supermarket I was lost since I'd wandered around too much. This night market was similar to one in Phnom Penh that I had stayed near.

... Tagalog. Awesome how many of them know 3 or 4 languages! Another culture confusion happened when getting my suitcase. When they making a palm facing me hand signal, I thought it meant stop. The wiggling fingers on top meant to come follow me. Confusing! The local workers have been awesome to get to know. Patient and helpful when volunteering, and slowly I am picking up Binisaya.

Overall enjoying my trip which is coming to a close!

I will keep the one short and sweet, but wanted to place the pin for this adventure! Spent the day enjoying beautiful views of the mountains and going to Dahilayan Adventure Park. People ziplined, went on a giant swing, and drove ATVs. Overall everyone had a blast, even though it rained on us! Afterward we went to a place called ...
