... I had the French traditional Petite dejeuner – Croissant, baguette, jam, coffee and juice. Best croissant I ever had (might have had some as good, but never better) – soooo buttery and flaky. Sam had a gallette complete (ham, egg and cheese) and was extremely satisfied and full after.

Today my time with the London Youth Games came to an unofficial end, meaning I have completed my three-month internship.

Our last day today, sad to be leaving, we have had such a fantastic holiday. Finished the packing, then went out for a walk with Sue along the beach. Caught the ferry across from Mudeford to Hengistbury Head and walked past all the little beach houses, up the hill for a fab view along the coast. ... Parliament told us the MPs were in session. Fresh gold leaf on all of the monuments, buildings and bridges evidenced the 2012 Olympics and the Queen’s “Diamond Jubilee” (60th year on the throne - she's now 88 yrs. old).
