          Sasa was our hostess at this beautiful hotel with perfect location in the heart of Ljubljana. She was also the architect of the units - everything was great, the location was even better!

          ... that we followed their lead - its such a lovely small country and Ljubljana is great fun and lively.
          Our last day in Ljubljana today and we catch the train back to Zagreb and then onto Split via an overnight sleeper. We spent the morning doing a bit more looking around town and then decided to do haircuts late morning with a salon recommended by the hotel - worked great - language Not an issue and Christine ...

          So sad to leave

          ... of the entries you might be able to guess my family's favorite food and the easiest food to find in Europe) We walked to a nearby restaurant and got some personal pizzas for everyone, except for Alex who had gotten a doner-kebab along the way in the style of a hamburger. On the way out we saw a momma-cat nursing her four little kittens in the grass. Then they all fell asleep on top of each other. Very cute. Then we came back to our apartment and played card games.

          ... freezing? Not the Australian guy that decides to jump in without testing it first. ´Why isn´t anyone else swimming in this lake?´ I thought. In the freezing waters, my very manly shrieks and a condition known as ´Where-have-my-balls-gone´, drew some very curious glances from onlookers. This was my cue to leave Slovenia, and head to Budapest.

          Question time. Would you sit on a train carriage with:

          ... from the hotel to Venice Santa Lucia train station, the only train station I've ever been to with an exit on to a canal. Train (1st class, obviously) to Trieste via the azure Adriatic coastal route. Historic 1902 tram from Trieste to Villa Opicina 700m above the city with old leather seats and huge windows bringing a much needed breeze. Taxi across the border from Italy to Slovenia and Sezana station where one village idiot ...
