... off to the right, but follow the watercourse until we hit dryer, rockier raised land which leads to the climb proper.
The climb starts as a wide bare track, straight up a ridge, with exposed rocks and a lot of loose gravel, not too bad on the way up, but difficult on the way down in adventure sandals. We are passed by a lone male walker on the way up, and encounter ...

... to the ferry terminal and by 2.25 we were on the ferry to Mosman Bay. It was a lovely peaceful little marina and we just "chilled" for the first time for weeks. We had a beer in the sun on the Rowing Club veranda and waited for the 4.10 ferry back.
Then we stepped on the free bus which runs round the city centre, and just stayed on for the full circuit, sightseeing without tiring Hughie’s feet. Got off and looked around the edge of the Botanic ...
... we weren’t in a club this time or a dodgy Argentinean town - some fellow traveller was bound to pick it up and hand it in. They didn’t and I’m now on phone no 4. The good news was I’d already lost the charger and it was going to cost a bomb to unlock the phone anyway but once again I’d lost ALL my numbers! C’est la vie!
I was on the flight, heading to the sun, sea and with a whole new underwater world to discover it was hard to feel too cut up about it.

Whilst walking back to the ferry it suddenly poured with rain, rather unexpected but a couple of rainbows made interesting photos.
Sunday dawned and Suzanne took me around the local area to the pretty village of Avalon and on to various beaches, surrounded by rocky headlands. We ...

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia codownsean... I am humbled by it all. Although opera season has just ended my trip inside the opera house was overwhelming. Many magnificent minds and hands worked together to create a glorious sight. I kept telling myself I have to come back and experience it all again. The concert hall pulled me in to it's glory, begging me to come back for a real performance. I was blessed with hearing the organ prepping for a performance, aaahhh. I will surely be back. Wandering out of the ...

On the Sunday it was time to hit the beach as it was boiling hot so I headed up to Palm beach which is the home of Home & Away and I can see why they choose that beach as it was one of the best beaches that I ...
