      ... the vintage T-shirts they look awesome and their hats are great too. They have chickens and cocks on everything. Turns out after Hurricane Iniki in 1992, they think that the chicken coups were scattered everywhere and the chickens have gone wild. There have no mongooses or predators so they roam free everywhere. We travelled through the township and saw he church built in the early 1800s.       ... a quiet moment when children aren't present. Brian and I both agreed that savagely attacking someone would feel pretty good. Anyway, two hours late, we're on our way to Maui. Penny's asleep after some epic, earsplitting meltdowns; Mel's followed suit; Henry's passed out on my lap; and I, like a fool, am typing. 5 and a half hours to go... 4:56 pm ---------- Holy ****.       Murray's plane was a Boeing jet, the style with two engines attached to the rear of the fuselage. With a window seat on the left side, he was able to get photos of Maui, the north and west shores of the west side of the island, and photos of the dry landscape of the north side of Molokai, including the east, north and west coasts, then some views of Oahu on the way in.

      ... Banyan tree, sipping MaiTais in the Lahaina fish co, watching the sun go down, then eating burgers with a longboard lager at cool cats on the Wharf. Mine was probably what the Big Mac was based on - pickles, onions, salad, melted jack cheese and thousand Island dressing. Tasted a lot like it!! Back to Haiku to watch breaking bad and sleep. We'll try again for surfing tomorrow ...

      On the way back to our dock, we were fortunate enough to find a pod of 80+ spinner dolphins, which we traveled with for over 2 miles as they headed north along the coast. They are so much fun!
