      Left at 9:00am for the Kapalua Beach. Spent about three hours snorkeling and on the beach. Lots of fish, big schools of fish, and turtles.       ... anapanapa Bay which was like lying on tarmac. What a word! Wai'anapanapa. That's the great thing about the Polynesian language, they love their syllables. I think the longest place name I saw was 7 syllables long at Honoapi'ilani Highway... it must make a huge dent in the Federal road-sign budget.

      Economically it is odd here. Having purchased a 'Maui Gold' pineapple in Vancouver for $1 CAD (which is literally 50p) I was flabbergasted that a road side 'farmer's market' ...
