This morning we said goodbye to Jeff and Raewyn who we've had a lovely time staying with and they have been great at helping us out on our first week in Australia! We got into Sydney Central at 11:45am and then went to meet Danielle who's one of my cousins, it was lovely catching up with her because as everyone knows the UK and Australia are quite far away ...

Checked into my apt early afternoon at the Macleay Hotel in Potts Point. Love my studio and it's views! Showered and wandered around the neighborhood to familiarize myself; stopped at the market for a few provisons, then back to apt to enjoy watching the sailboats meander around the harbor. It began to cloud over, so I walked to the Fish House around the corner for fish and chips and more people gazing! Very relaxing afternoon, but I'm fading fast.....g'nite!

Walking around in the glorious spring sunshine made for a wonderful day out. If you're lucky enough to visit, for the ultimate view, head ro the giraffe enclosure – it really is ...

The journey back down to Sydney from Byron Bay was pretty wet and miserable. On the last night camping in Byron's, it just didn't stop raining all night and in the morning we had to do the dreaded tent pack down in the pouring rain - I've never pulled a tent out of the ground so quickly before! As we headed south trying to outrun the cyclone, it didn't stop raining the whole way, even after an over night stop in Bellingen, we woke up ...
