Off to Manchester after supper to be next to the airport for the early morning flight! Need to check in at 6.40 am (sigh)... But very excited to get on the way! Hoping for an upgrade due to it being my birthday (10th feb), however, will be very surprised if i get one! Fingers crossed. Etihad flight to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi ...

The Media city buildings which house the BBC and ITV offices and studios also house the head offices of a couple of hundred large businesses. Other than tours around a couple of studios (which cost $20 ) and being part of an audience ( booked out weeks ahead ) there was nothing there to see, so I headed home after a slightly disappointing day out..

... called 'Fatherless' which I really enjoyed. I got the details of it afterwards.
I wandered around the shops for a while, paused to talk to everyone possible, asked different people for advice on a random selection of things and finally went to a noodle bar to 'dine' on tasty noodles with chicken.
I made my way back to the station and airport, and was privileged to see a beautiful sunset peering over the buildings in the distance.

... a scratchy throat but figured I'd feel fine to tough out the game. Logan was working on recovering to make sure he could go. I left work at 4:30. The game started at 7:45 and I was only an hour drive. We left at about 5:30 figuring there would be some traffic and we'd have to walk a ways to the stadium once we found parking. We were wrong.
As soon as we got on the motorway we hit traffic. It is 54 km on this stretch with a speed limit of 115 km/h. That ...
