On Wednesday the goal was to ride around 55km as this is about the daily distance next week. We started the morning by heading towards one of the parks in Manchester. We knew the park was on a hill but I hadn't quite mentally prepared myself for 8km slow constant climb. I made it to the top without walking! ... as I have comparatively few of the place. But it was also raining and not dressed for the occasion. And I had left my umbrella in the car.
Got in without paying since it was a national trust place. A bit of advice here: If you plan on spending a week or so in the UK, check out the National Trust website and see if they have things you might want to see. Our family membership cost 95 pounds, and it gets us into almost every location for free.
