... to take a break and catch my breath. The trail had begun to lose its tree cover and the sun was shining directly on us. As soon as we resumed walking, the trail began to head downhill. I cursed it as I did not want to lose any of the elevation gained. We rounded the corner of the mountain to see the first views of Upper Yosemite Falls from the trail. Die Temperaturen hier sind jedoch angenehm auf 2000 Meter Höhe - den Lift nach weiter oben haben wir nicht genommen, da 46 $ pro Person dann doch etwas happig sind.
Mammoth Lakes ist ein sehr schönes Bergdörfchen und im Winter tobt hier mit Sicherheit der Bär!
Morgen geht es weiter über den Tioga Pass zum Yosemite Valley - wir sind gespannt :)
