... all I want to do is get off the trail and go back to society. How I will get through the hard times, the wet times and scary times. Because the greatest threat to me of being unsuccessful in this walk will be loneliness and a lack of enjoyment. Thinking about how to even enjoy the hard times, because there is no reason to partake in this walk if I'm not enjoying myself. Recently I took a large step with the trail in mind. I packed up ...

... activities. When we got back to the Jeep, it started right up, so we drove it back into Mammoth Lakes to get it checked out. The mechanic couldn't immediately tell us what was wrong so we had to leave the truck with them and ended up having to pitch a tent in a local campground. We then took a walk into town and checked out a neighborhood coffee shop so Jared could take a test. Mammoth is a beautiful little ...

... something you would see on the discovery channel but never imagine yourself being there. We did a walk to vernal falls, there is a free shuttle which takes you to the start of all of the trails. It was 1.5 miles to walk to the top. It was all uphill and stairs. The falls were amazing! huge!never seen any that big before. There were squirrels and chipmunks everywhere they love people they get food from them. Phil wanted to walk further up to nevada falls which was another 2 mile ...
