... Name, address, whatever. Official looking websites, especially ones that feature The Shat, are really good at soliciting my trust.

Booked. Just like that. Show your form(s) of ID at the gate. Onward!

As in, more than one? And suddenly I realize that my passport says JOEL D SHOEMAKER and my license says JOEL DWIGHT SHOEMAKER.

Chicago was an amazing surprise. You think industrial city (known for car manufacturing) but downtown Chicago is gorgeous. After a long day driving we decided to turn in. The walk back to the hotel was somewhat hurried and we were both asleep early ready to explore the city a bit more and continue our journey the next ...

... had been ignoring the signs warning of road work on the 94 freeway we would have taken. But now that we again had a choice we decided to head south on 90 instead. Though we can count having been to Milwaukee since we went to the Brewers game, I'm not sure that was enough of a visit to give us the correct flavor. We'll just have to come back ...

... have great views of downtown Chicago and a few little bars overlooking the water, but they all looked a bit depressing without people sat outside. That evening we worked out what where we had to go the next day, as we had to pick up our car for the road trip leg of our adventure. We toasted our train travelling over a couple of beers and some pizza that evening, feeling excited to see what car we would call our own for the next 3 ...
