... Now the weather started to turn and the clouds began to build. This brought welcome relief from the heat but the accompanying wind started to make the lake a little more choppy. ... away pretty soon after we arrived home and I settled in to watch the Niners beat the Cardinals. Pretty soon, the troops arrived. James came by train and bus from Berkeley to Truckee where John went to pick him up, and Lee and Oliver drove over after a fun day at a pumpkin patch. We then enjoyed a nice family dinner sharing stories. James' birthday was October 11, so we celebrated this belatedly.

Today is the day that we are leaving on a six week to two month RV trip first to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and then to St. Cloud, Florida. Apparently one of the billionnaires on the road has an underground carpark for his cars, which can take 60...
