... was plenty of water. Lucky us! David took a hike further up the rocks and into some of the caves. Donna did some recording of the sounds of the water to use in future meditations. On the way back we found some redwood trees. Called Betty's Beach Cafe which overlooks the Feast at Lele, a luau in Lahaina. Got a reservation for 5:45pm. Since our hike finished at 1:15 PM, we decided to stop by the Maui tropical plantation on our way to dinner. The owners ...

The Seven Sacred Pools in a nutshell is a stream of water that cascades down a number of waterfalls into plunge pools that eventually reach the ocean. I reach out and yank him back to the surface, a wave batters us and we both go under. This is serious. Jeff gasps out "What do you want me to do??" The response I want to make, "Don't drown", is inappropriate. I just shake my head, grab his arm to help keep us together and say "You're all right. You're ...

Hotel is absolutely gorgeous! View outside the window was full ocean with Manta Rays (we didn't see any)
Me....The hotel was the Kona Sheraton....nice and had a real beachy feel to it.
Spent the next day touring the island. We stared out with a trip to Walmart and ended the trip going to Subway, Pizza hut and Starbucks!!! My kind of tour. Will pass this blog ...

... swimming and sand castles and we hadn't even hit lunch. I'll spare the hyperbole. Suffice to say, we'll be preachers about the beaches too. Kids are loving it. For provisions, I've picked up a sampler flat from the Kona Brewing Company: Longboard Island Lager (4.6%), Big Wave Golden Ale (4.4%), Castaway IPA (6%), and Fire Rock Pale Ale (6%). No clear favourite yet. Mel grabbed a 40 pounder of Absolut and a couple bottles of wine. You ...
