        ... around St. Peter's Basilica after seeing the upside down crucifixion paintings in St. Francis' Basilica. The upside down crucifixion frescoes really stood out to me because I had never seen them before. I had no idea that St. Peter chose to be crucified upside down so as not to compare himself to Christ. I guess that is why EF calls their tours educational.

        ... I reach the Milan Cathedral, with its many spiers towering into the blue sky... a Duomo to its fullest. Inside the Cathedral, just as amazing.

        Well happy 80th Birthday to my beautiful mum – have certainly been thinking about her today. It was warmer again this morning and after breakfast we set off to get the water taxi to Como.
