    short, but steep, 2 mile hike that took us a little ways down into the canyon
    and provided some jaw-dropping views (see pictures below). On the climb back

    Up at 4am. Picked up labor, Wayne and Arthur at 5am. We learned later that Wayne and airy her we not the guys that labor ready sent...they were just guys that happened to be in front of labor ready at 5am hoping for work. Drove 3 hours to Edwards.     After marvellous sunny weather for our trip so far the last two days we have had overcast skies. Not quite the bluebird days we were hoping for but still high enough cloud that we could see the spectacular view from the top of Beaver Creek Mountain (3488m high). It was time to unpack the ski bags and try out our new skis.
