I suffered a bit with altitude sickness. Just felt a bit light headed and nauseous. This is not unusual for heights above 10,000 feet as most people experience some mild symptoms.

... that looked very bare and golden in color. It didn’t look natural. It didn’t seem to fit the landscape. It turned out to be a mining operation where they were mining something called molybdenum. Even after researching it, I still don’t understand what it is. But the operation was actually breaking down the entire mountain, all the way to the peak, and that is why it did not appear natural. ... a campfire which represented the best of what family and being together through thick and thin means to me. It was one of the special hopes of this trip come true.

So as we prepare to leave the mountains and head to the flat lands of eastern Colorado and Kansas and Missouri, I'm thankful for the adventure and truthfully longing for my own bed. But between now and then there are more adventures to come and few more friends to pester.

Lake Side Terrace turned out to be a pleasant surprise :-) It was a times share kind of a place and we had a condo for our selves. It was totally furnished and beautiful with two bed and two bath. Also associated was a water park.
