From Rotterdam on the ferry, slight hiccup over where we were supposed to be picked up from, rainy Hull, taxi ride, walk around some shops and an emergency phone purchase...we eventually made it to Beverley. The most unexpected thing happened, Andree loved it! I began looking at my home town from the perspective of a tourist, and I suppose I loved it too. "Take a photo, take a photo" she said, " what of?" was my confused reply. ...

We arrived at Cabo de Gata around 2 pm which has beautiful beaches with clear water but full of sea urchins, on top of that we got hassled by aggressive flies and sandblasted as there was a special wind called the Poniente for a couple of days. Another circular walk today, up the coast to La Isleta del Moro, a fishing village that still maintains traditional fishing methods. It was inland to the town of Rodalquilar. Up until 1966, gold was mined here and we walked up past the now derelict gold mine. The walk took us through a large mining area evident by the occasional derelict buildings and tunnels going into the rock with signs warning of the danger of entering the mine.

    The path then climbed ...

... We, with our two chairs and a table and another English couple in the same size motorhome as us doing the same. Moving south again today to just past Almeria for the night at La Garrofa at www.lagarrofa.com. Enjoying an excellent cafe con leche in La Parada, a huge service station on the old N340 but a class above anything in the UK for service, coffee and ...
