Blake suggested we try our luck at an earlier bus stop which turned out to be our saving grace otherwise I think we may have been stuck in the city for a while. ... about Vancouver is its public transportation system. You can get anywhere by bus or ferry which was great. The next day we took the bikes over the bridge and downtown to check out the setup for the Canada Day celebrations. We decided it was going to be nuts downtown and it was very expensive. We decided to have a cigar and scotch on the West Vancouver sea wall and enjoy the fireworks.

Anyway, thence through the Library Square and down to the Central Pacific Mall (sorta like all the Arcades in Sydney, but on Steroids) and down to the Convention Centre, on the Watefront, to take in the Harbour (and North Vancouver) views. Quite impressive ... the Harbour, not so much (compared to Sydney), but the mountains in the background!!!
