... we were up here i said goodbye to the three local dogs. We'd nicknamed one Smiley dog as it appeared to constantly be grinning, and when you gave it a fuss it'd get so excited it would wet itself.
Having skipped breakfast in place of coffee, we returned to Afros in Acharavi. We had a massive brunch of seafood: calamari, whitebait, tuna fritters etc. and then said our farewells to Costas and Chris. I'm sure we will see them again.
      After fare-welling ...

My parents went out to IKEA to look at white ware so I decided to stay home and look into Istanbul. *************.

Sitting on the castle walls we watched ...

The weather on this morning was the worst we've had so far. The sky was solid grey and threatening to break into rain at any moment. Reluctantly we left the apartment and searched for a caffeine breakfast. Its lucky we did, as today was Palm Sunday. In Corfu Town it is celebrated with a procession of marching bands. In better weather conditions they also take the mummified remains of St. Spiridon around the town. Today it was ...

... again towards home. Fortunately, we didnt get lost this time.
At 9, after a restorative siesta, we set off towards a restaurant in the Jewish quarter. On the way we passed a lane of Tavernas packed out with locals. The restaurant we had wanted to visit was open, but entirely empty. Not liking the vibe, we doubled back to one of the tavernas we'd passed. This was a wise choice. Its name was unpronounceable and inside it was retro styled. ...
