... have also never ever seen a queue as long either but it is well worth it! every morning we would get 2 different pastries and we bought a glass bottle for €2 and the nice lady fills it with freshly squeezed orange juice for 55 cents! Breakfast of champions! Next would be the crucial decision of pool or beach... For the first 2 days we went to the pool where we could layout on the grass and have a few games of ping pong (I still haven't won a game yet grrrr) the last 2 days ...

... since we've managed to anchor a fair bit and therefore save precious money we will invest our savings in a water maker so that next year we don't have to worry so much and can do laundry as necessary; rinse after dipping in salty water; do dishes daily etc etc.

While everyone went to a water park Chris, Les and I drove over to Tossa De Mar today. It is a seaside town with an old walled city. I really enjoyed wandering around the tiny streets looking in the shops. We walked up to the top of the hill then stopped at a restaurant on the way down for lunch. I had duck with a berry sauce then a rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream, yum. Got home at about 5 pm and just taking it easy ...

... quick stop and change over and Lorna took over driving duties... Unfortunately after about an hour of Lorna driving, it was very stop start and we were drastically losing the race against the Sat Nav as Lorna made about 15 mins progress within an hour.. We changed over after Lorna did a couple of hours, I got a coffee from the services and we stretched out legs a big before what was supposed to be the last 2 hours of the journey, fortunately it was reasonably straight forward ...

... a distance that it was actually quite scary. In our time there we spotted capuchin monkeys, lukachis, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, wolf spiders, tarantulas, snakes, caimans, sloths, frogs and several birds we dont remember the names of. Other highlights of the trip included swimming in the Amazon water at sunset and paddling across a huge lake in the pouring rain.
