... where they are preparing to test for a manned Mars flight - I event got to play with some of the robots.  At the end of the tour - David autographed a copy of his book - Full Circle which is about the role of the back office workers on the missions.  It was so kind of him.  It was amazing and more than I could have ever wanted.  I then was given a Cap and some pens from NASA, Johnston Space Centre.  Keepers. :) ...

Two weeks out, until we leave for our big trip! We'll fly out of IAH, Make a Stop in ATL then to Joburg to hop on a little plane into Gaborone Botswana! ... A hurricane demolished part of the pier and the pavillion. It was rebuilt and dedicated in 1935. Hurricane Carla again destroyed the pavillion in 1961. In 1988 the city made necessary repairs to make it safe again. In 2003 Hurricane Claudette did enough damage to render the structure unsafe. As of this date the structure still stands awaiting a decision as to its fate. By the looks of it, the town is awaiting the same decision- lots of vacant ...
