We sat and had our coffee and cake.... CJ's "Lovely Birds" showed their true colours by jumping up on my arm as I was about to take a bite of cake and making off with a big beak full.

As we're going to have a long day tomorrow we decided not to go to the lagoon today as it was scorching. We took a long walk instead past where we have to meet tomorrow, the station, the mall, lagoon and the esplanade before heading in back home. ... biggest sandwich you can imagine, before heading back via the cable car. It is 5 miles long and at the tallest part 133 feet high, it felt high sweeping over the trees but some more great views! When the cable car was built each tower was put in place by helicopter to avoid any disturbance to the rainforest. We stopped twice, Barron Falls where the waterfall is and Red Peak where there is a 400 year old Kauri Pine ...

... broken and I have a very colourful left leg and foot as proof of my idiocy. Word to the wise: if only person does it, it probably isn't safe. If lots of people do it (and especially children) then it's probably OK for you to do it too.

So my thundercloud was now coupled with yet another waterfall related injury (Josephine Falls was quite unpleasant for my limbs as well) and we decided we should just call it a day. It was overwhelmingly ...
