... It was lovely seeing some more familiar faces and sharing in the excitement of our journey.
We explored the area a little more with a day drive with Brendt and Molly up to Maroochydore and Mudjimba, and then out through some gorgeous countryside to the Big Pineapple. We always love our day drives!
All in all it was great half week we spent here, and it is definitely a place I would like to holiday at again.
... didn't disappoint as he threw Grundens rain slickers on us, hoisted us on the inflatable, and navigated extremely rough water conditions to get us safely, not necessarily dry, to the ship. It was one of those moments when I looked around at my family, riding the wild seas, being slapped in the face with buckets of water, that I think to myself, "I don't think most families do this sort of thing". Still, it's just another day for this crew.
It has been over a month since the last blog and we have covered some miles since then. We had a lovely trip to the eastern Kimberly and finished it off with four nights at lake Argyle and sunset cruise which was great, it was fairly hot so the infinity pool was fabulous. We headed back to Coolibah for a few days but stayed almost two weeks! The kids loved getting back to their jobs of feeding the pigs, chickens and poddy calfs, Mario and Luigi and of ...

It was good to sit by the fire our first night. I think it was probably the coldest night we've had this year, but we didn't mind too much. We were warm and had marsh mallows!

Drove to the zoo on the appropriate named' Steve Irwin Highway'. Walked through the main entrance littered by zoo staff holding an eclectic mix of animals ready to be patted and photographed by eager Zoo goers. They had koalas, baby crocs, and some strange blue tongued lizards. Photographs with them all, we walked through more enclosures past the tortoises, turtles, kangaroo enclosures, huge 1 ...
