... It was lovely seeing some more familiar faces and sharing in the excitement of our journey.

We explored the area a little more with a day drive with Brendt and Molly up to Maroochydore and Mudjimba, and then out through some gorgeous countryside to the Big Pineapple. We always love our day drives!

All in all it was great half week we spent here, and it is definitely a place I would like to holiday at again.

We headed back to Coolibah for a few days but stayed almost two weeks! The kids loved getting back to their jobs of feeding the pigs, chickens and poddy calfs, Mario and Luigi and of ...

... more happy hours to come.

It was good to sit by the fire our first night. I think it was probably the coldest night we've had this year, but we didn't mind too much. We were warm and had marsh mallows!

After a simple dinner for all of us we were in bed by seven thirty. It was just easier to get the kids to go to sleep if we turned off the telly and all went to ...

Drove to the zoo on the appropriate named' Steve Irwin Highway'. Walked through the main entrance littered by zoo staff holding an eclectic mix of animals ready to be patted and photographed by eager Zoo goers. They had koalas, baby crocs, and some strange blue tongued lizards. Photographs with them all, we walked through more enclosures past the tortoises, turtles, kangaroo enclosures, huge 1 ...
