Camper Van - Noosa to Sydney

A travel blog entry by woodyandsmith on May 06, 2014

First stop was Noosa where we found a great lookout to sleep at, had a day at the beach, discovered $5 dinners at nomads hostel and got our locks smashed in a burglary attempt...bad start! Next we drove down to Surfers Paradise but detoured through the Glasshouse Mountains on route which were beautiful. SP was a large city and in the rain was not that appealing, it seemed only to be good for a massive night clubbing which we ...

Well things have changed. I decided to resign from my Townsville job and then we decided to head south to find a new rig and maybe work over the hospitality season. We found both a new rig and work so are settled on the Sunshine Coast for the summer at least, maybe to Easter. Who knows! Within a couple of days of arriving back in SE Qld, we found a 2007 Jayco Dove on gumtree and travelled to Armidale in NSW to collect our new "Dove Shack". We had nearly 3 hours of handover ...

    25th Day

... as far as we could see. You could see the hotels spanning along the beach in both directions. We came down the hill and got on the road that is beach on one side, hotels on the other. Our GPS got a little confused and took us to some weird convention / park area that was packed with people before we realized that this is definitely not our hotel… We got the street address to the hotel and put it into the GPS, in which then told us we ...
