Short and busy 12 day trip for my 2 week vacation in third year of residency. Initially decided to visit sister in SFO but since it's been 4 years she visited India, we both planned to visit at the same time, co-incidentally for Pranav's 5th birthday. While walking we happened to discover a really good grocery store that carried some American food such as peanut butter and cereals. We will be back there! Good to know. After a while of perusing and not ...

... searched by a male out in the open. This is the same thing that happened in the airport as well. Also entering in and out of every store you have to check in your bags of things previously bought and they give you a number to pick it up when you leave the store. On top of this they stamp your reciept every time you leave a store and check that what is on there is what you bought. Boy what a pain in the but. A girl is just trying to enjoy a day of shopping.

Guiding the Ganesha idol down the road, the drummers were beating hard and everyone was cheering, smiling, and enjoying a great night. I had the opportunity to join in on the traditional Indian woman's dance ...
